Department 19 is an incredible story about Jamie Carpenter. The summary from Wheelers says: "In a secret supernatural battle that's been raging for over a century, the stakes have just been raised -- and they're not wooden anymore. In a secret supernatural battle that's been raging for over a century, the stakes have just been raised -- and they're not wooden anymore. When Jamie Carpenter's mother is kidnapped by strange creatures, he finds himself dragged into Department 19, the government's most secret agency. Fortunately for Jamie, Department 19 can provide the tools he needs to find his mother, and to kill the vampires who want him dead. But unfortunately for everyone, something much older is stirring, something even Department 19 can't stand up against!" What I thought: I loved it even though it got scary during some parts yet would happily review another one like it! Will Hill made it easy to picture what was going on and what the characters looked like. I rated this 9/10 Rhianna =P The Very Bad Book is, well ... a very bad book! Inside there are all sorts of wacky creations, from eating your bogies, to The Invasion of the Blood Sucking Grannies Covered in Gravy. This book contains nothing but very bad stories, very bad drawings, very bad poems, very bad cartoons, and very bad riddles about very bad characters doing very bad things!! Read this book and learn about Bad Macdonald, The Boy Who Forgot His Head Because It Wasn't Screwed On, and The Killer Koalas from Outer Space. It's full of imagination and enjoyable for everyone! Rating: 5/5 Rhianna =P |
