No one in her house has time for her!
They're all to busy. Whenever she goes to talk to them they all reply with "Wait a minute Ruby, can't you see I'm busy?' The Ruby has a brilliant idea. She's going to run away! She packs her bag full of clothes, teddy, favorite book, toothbrush and toothpaste, stuffs her pockets full of food and sets off. It's getting late, and the family starts to worry and are looking for her. Should they call the police? Where will they find her?
My favorite bit was the last sentence because it teaches the rest of the family a lesson for not paying attention to her. I also liked it when he dad kept yelling at everyone to calm down even though they were calm and he was the one who was having a fit.
Three things that stood out to me in the book was
1. The determination Ruby has to be noticed, because it's good to have lots of determination.
2. At the start of the book Ruby's mother in their back yard with a metal detector, because it's not you usual.
3. When Ruby was running away she was thinking that if she was famous she would tell everyone she was 'busy' just like her family told her.
I would recommend this book to anyone 4+ because it is quite funny and younger children would enjoy it.
8/10.
